Tottenham Hotspur are set to turn to a La Liga star in January to solve their creative woes, with the Lilywhites ready to spend big on the player.
Spurs continue to have issues creating chances, partly down to the absence of two of their most creative players: Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison.
Thomas Frank has admitted that he has seen positive signs with Xavi Simons in recent games, but the 22-year-old is still getting used to the demands of Premier League football.
It has now emerged that the Lilwhites have identified a 24-year-old Real Sociedad star as the main to solve their creative woes.

According to Fichajes, Spurs are ‘ready to go all out’ to sign Takefusa Kubo from Real Sociedad in the upcoming transfer window.
The outlet says that Frank’s men are looking for a player who can provide attacking flair, creativity, and goals, and have identified Kubo as ‘their top attacking priority’ for January.
Having previously explored a move for the Japanese international, the North London club are now determined to go all the way for him in January.
It is revealed that Spurs are ready to match the versatile attacking midfielder’s release clause, which stands at €60m (£52.7m).
Takefusa Kubo’s stance revealed as Spurs are confident about deal
Fichajes say that the former Real Madrid man, who has 24 goals and 18 assists in 147 matches at Sociadad, is keen on a switch to the Premier League.
He wants to complete at the highest level, and he believes that Tottenham Hotspur can be the right next step for him. The report says that the San Sebastian hierarchy are aware that retaining Kubo will be a difficult task.
Finally, the outlet adds that Tottenham are ‘confident of finalising the deal quickly’ when the transfer window opens, with the club seeing Kubo as a ‘key part of their new sporting project’.
