However, that stretched Tottenham side did manage to earn a point despite being two goals down in the first half against Pep Guardiola’s men.
Dominic Solanke was the hero on the day, thanks to a brace that included a ridiculous scorpion kick, his second on the day.

The forward, however, did come off against Manchester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after picking up what looked like a knock.
Following the clash, in his post-match comments, Solanke revealed that he was fine despite being substituted.
Thomas Frank has now provided a further update on his centre-forward, revealing that he will be in contention for Saturday’s game against Manchester United.

Frank also provided timely boosts on the injury front elsewhere for Tottenham ahead of Saturday’s clash.
The Spurs boss has revealed that Micky van de Ven is back in contention for the weekend’s game, while Cristian Romero, who was ill and taken off against City, is also back.
As for Djed Spence, it was revealed that it remains touch and go with the full-back.
