Alasdair Gold has revealed whether Tottenham Hotspur are expected to sign a goalkeeper this month amid Guglielmo Vicario rumours.
Guglielmo Vicario has been singled out as a liability for Spurs in light of the poor errors that the Italian has made over recent months.
There have been reports that the Spurs shot-stopper is wanted by Inter Milan, but that speculation has died down a bit over recent weeks.
More recently, Tottenham have received a loan approach from Wolves for Antonin Kinsky, whose only two appearances this season have come in the Carabao Cup.
Are Tottenham expected to sign a goalkeeper this month?
Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has now revealed that signing a new goalkeeper is something that Tottenham are more likely to consider in the summer rather than during the current transfer window.
Gold confirms that Inter Milan are interested in Vicario and that his potential sale in the summer could force the Lilywhites to look for a new number one.
Regarding Kinsky, he suggests that Tottenham may be considering loaning the youngster out, given his lack of game time this season, but only if they manage to bring in another goalkeeper as cover.
The journalist also does not rule out a potential permanent sale of the Czech shot-stopper over the next few weeks, but again, only if someone else comes in.
Why Spurs may stick with their two goalkeeping options for now
Despite the Conor Gallagher and Souza deals, Tottenham still have plenty of work to do this month.
It has been reported for a long time that signing a top-class left-winger is a top priority for Spurs, and one would expect the club to focus their energy on that over the coming days.
With Radu Dragusin’s future at Tottenham looking far from certain, the club may also need to add another centre-back to their squad.
It thus appears that Spurs simply have too many things on their plate to be considering also making a goalkeeping change this month.
