Tottenham's next five fixtures as Igor Tudor replacement thrown straight in deep end

Igor Tudor endured a difficult few weeks in north London, winning just one match, drawing one and losing five

Tottenham have parted company with their interim coach Igor Tudor following just a brief spell in charge after replacing the axed Thomas Frank in February. The decision to dismiss Tudor came in the wake of a damaging 3-0 defeat to relegation rivals Nottingham Forest before the international break.

That result left Spurs just a single point clear of West Ham United, who are currently 18th place in the bottom three. A club statement read: "We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for Head Coach Igor Tudor to leave the Club with immediate effect. Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also left their respective roles of Goalkeeping Coach and Physical Coach.

"We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly. We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time. An update on a new Head Coach will be provided in due course."

While there has been no confirmation over who will take charge, football.london understands that Spurs expect to appoint a new head coach within the next couple of days, ensuring they are in place when the players return from international duty and giving them around 10 days to work with the squad.

Bruno Saltor remains at the club and is currently leading training for the small group of players still at Hotspur Way.

This week, football.london (via L'Equipe) previously reported that the club held talks with Adi Hutter about becoming their next manager, however, no agreement has been finalised for the 56‑year‑old, who also has no Premier League experience.

He is not the only manager being linked with the role in north London, with Roberto De Zerbi also under consideration.

Marco Rose and Edin Terzic could re-enter the frame as well, having both been assessed before Tudor's appointment.

Meanwhile, former boss Mauricio Pochettino has also been mentioned, though he is unlikely to be immediately available as he remains in charge of the United States until after the World Cup.

Nonetheless, whoever comes in will be tasked with steadying the team and pulling Spurs away from the drop.

With that said, football.london takes a look at Spurs' next five Premier League fixtures as they battle for survival.
