Tottenham Hotspur are not tempted to turn to a recently sacked 40-year-old manager if they need a replacement for Thomas Frank.
Frank vowed to fight for his Tottenham job ahead of the game against Borussia Dortmund, even though reports indicated the Spurs head coach’s days in the hotseat could be numbered.
Andoni Iraola, Oliver Glasner and Mauricio Pochettino are among the leading candidates to replace Frank, but those managers may not be available until the summer.
That is why Spurs are reportedly considering appointing an interim head coach until the end of the season if they do feel a need to sack Frank, but there is one candidate they could appoint straightaway.

Are Tottenham likely to consider appointing Ruben Amorim?
Football Insider say that as Tottenham consider Frank’s future, Ruben Amorim, who was sacked by Man United earlier this month, has emerged as an outside candidate for the job.
However, the report says that at the moment, Amorin is not seen as one of Spurs’ main priority candidates, with the club ‘unlikely’ to make a move for the 40-year-old.
The nature of the Portuguese coach’s exit from Old Trafford is seen as a ‘red flag’ by the Tottenham hierarchy, who have been put off by the whole saga and are keen to explore other alternatives.
Additionally, the former Sporting Lisbon boss is also said to be intent on avoiding rushing back into management after the way his time at United ended.
Spurs have considered two other managers who are on the market
Over the last couple of days, it has also emerged that Tottenham have considered appointing Xabi Alonso after his exit from Real Madrid.
However, Alonso does not want to take up any offer now and plans on waiting to see what opportunities come his way in the summer.
Additionally, some sources have said that Spurs have already reached out to Xavi Hernandez, who is thought to be ready to take up a challenge in the Premier League.
