Tottenham fans have finally seen Randal Kolo Muani come to life in a Lilywhite shirt, and with his loan running its course this season, talk around a permanent deal is already gathering pace behind the scenes.
Randal Kolo Muani finally announced himself to Tottenham Hotspur supporters after scoring a brace and grabbing an assist in Spurs’ 5-3 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
It took some time for the forward to find his feet, as he failed to find the back of the net in his opening nine games, although he assisted in that period.
Thomas Frank will now be hoping that this sparks a run of consistent goal-scoring form for Kolo Muani, who will be eager to become the main man for Spurs and rival Dominic Solanke when he is fit.

Tottenham stance on Kolo Muani permanent deal
Tottenham had to wait until deadline day before landing Kolo Muani on loan for the season, and a decision will have to be made on whether to sign him permanently or to let him return to his parent club, Paris Saint-Germain.
TEAMtalk insider Dean Jones believes that Tottenham will be open to signing Kolo Muani permanently next summer, although they will have to negotiate a deal as his loan does not include an option to buy.
Before delivering his full comments, Jones made it clear that Spurs have always rated his potential and are now seeing signs of the player they expected.
“Tottenham were so happy to sign Kolo Muani, and now we are starting to see his true qualities,” Jones exclusively told TEAMtalk.
“They always felt that when he was back to his usual sharp self, they will have one of the best goal scorers in the league, and his finishing in Paris this week was a sign of that.
“They think there is so much more to come from him, and there is still every chance that this could turn out to be a longer-term signing.
“He is looking for somewhere to thrive and feel happy, and Spurs need someone they can rely on for goals. This loan spell suited everyone, but I know that Spurs do have an eye on trying to make it permanent if it works out.
“If he stays fit and is in form, then Spurs will not have to sign a striker in January and can focus on a wide attacker, as initially planned. With Solanke and Kolo Muani as the main strikers, they could be in good shape – it is just knowing whether they are going to be out there frequently enough.
“If Kolo Muani is a success, then it really helps Spurs out, not just for this season, but maybe beyond that too.”
The challenges Tottenham will face trying to sign Kolo Muani permanently
Indeed, Spurs’ signing of Kolo Muani is proof that the club believes in his potential and his ability to be a success in England, given his profile and the attributes he brings to the forward line.
However, it will be far from straightforward to land him permanently, as no option to buy was included in his loan deal, and that automatically puts Paris Saint-Germain in a position of strength.
As such, if Spurs are to sign the Frenchman, they will have to negotiate with PSG, who are in a strong position to demand a steep fee, given that his contract expires in 2028.
Tottenham could also have to ward off competition from teams if the 26-year-old finds his feet in England this season and is on the market in the summer window.
