Tottenham star has already given 'yes' to potential summer transfer after £12m offer

Tottenham Hotspur shot stopper Guglielmo Vicario has reportedly already given a ‘yes’ to Inter Milan amid recent links with the Italian side.

Guglielmo Vicario has shown great commitment to Tottenham Hotspur since arriving at the club three summers ago.

The Italian played a big role in the club’s Europa League triumph, while also showcasing his dedication to the badge by playing through pain in the last couple of games before undergoing hernia surgery.

However, it looks like Vicario’s time at Tottenham could be coming to an end, with Inter Milan keen on securing his services.

It is understood that Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has already held initial contact with the player’s agent, Gabriele Giuffrida, as they work towards a summer move for the Italian.

Guglielmo Vicario agrees personal terms with Inter Milan

A new report from L’Interista now claims that Guglielmo Vicario has already given his ‘yes’ to a potential move to Inter Milan.

The Serie A leaders are believed to have proposed a four-year contract worth €3.5m per season (£3m), a figure likely to be after tax and higher than his current wages at Tottenham – something that could accelerate the deal.

Inter have already held discussions with both Vicario and his agent, with the former Empoli goalkeeper giving his approval to the move.

The Spurs shot stopper is said to be honoured by the interest from Inter, although he is not actively pushing for a transfer, with the Italian club now expected to open talks with Tottenham.

Spurs face goalkeeping decision as Roberto De Zerbi arrives

Spurs have since secured the services of Roberto De Zerbi as they continue their fight to avoid relegation this season.

But there are question marks over whether De Zerbi will turn to the Spurs number one, who may not ideally fit into his style of play.

The former Brighton boss is known for building from the back, with every player in the defensive line capable of playing passes to beat the opposition press.

Vicario currently struggles in that aspect of his game, often opting to go long rather than play short, with the Premier League’s official channel even controversially poking fun at the Tottenham number one for his long balls.

Given his struggles in that department, Vicario’s departure may allow Tottenham to improve that area of the pitch, moving for a goalkeeper more comfortable playing out from the back.
