Antonin Kinsky has only featured twice in all competitions so far this season for Tottenham following his £12.5million switch from Slavia Prague last January
Tottenham goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky is attracting huge loan interest - despite Spurs' desire to keep the Czech in north London this month.
Kinsky, who joined Tottenham last January in a deal worth in the region of £12.5million, has made just two appearances under Thomas Frank so far this season.
He was also snubbed by the Dane on Saturday when No.1 Guglielmo Vicario kept his place in the team for the 2-1 FA Cup defeat at home to Aston Villa.
With Spurs now out of both domestic cup competitions, there is concern from Kinsky's camp that he may not play again this season.
A raft of clubs from both home and abroad have already shown varying degrees of interest in a loan swoop.
Those include struggling Premier League duo West Ham and Wolves, though interest from the latter has seemingly cooled in the past week or so.
French side Auxerre, Turkish giants Besiktas and Bundesliga outfit Freiburg have also made checks on the player via his representatives.
Auxerre are actually understood to have contacted Tottenham to enquire, however, Spurs are currently reluctant to weaken their goalkeeping set-up mid-season.
Lille were also keen on a loan towards the end of the summer transfer window but in August, boss Frank had claimed Kinsky had a "great career ahead of him this season at Tottenham," suggesting he was a firm part of his plans.
Outside of fielding the 22-year-old against Doncaster and Newcastle in the League Cup, opportunities have been few and far between due to Vicario's character and importance within the dressing room as one of Frank's crucial leaders.
Kinsky is yet to make his Czechia national team debut and it's said he had been hoping to muscle his way into their squad for March's World Cup qualification play-off against the Republic of Ireland.
That is only likely to be achievable with regular playing time, something Tottenham are currently unable to offer.
Brandon Austin is currently Spurs' third-choice goalkeeper and last season, Ange Postecoglou had four senior shot-stoppers at his disposal - five if you also include Alfie Whiteman.
Tottenham's priority for this month's transfer window is to strengthen, not weaken, Frank's depleted squad. Santos left-back Souza is set to arrive this week, subject to passing a medical.
A new forward and midfielder are also on the club's wish-list and it's also unlikely they will allow Mathys Tel to leave on loan despite widespread interest in the Frenchman.
Tel has started Spurs' past three matches, scoring against Bournemouth, and is wanted by the likes of Paris FC, Villarreal and Roma.
