Tottenham attacker Yang Min-hyeok is set to join Coventry City on loan for the second half of the season.
It's understood the decision has been made because the young South Korean international has struggled for regular minutes while on loan at Portsmouth.
Pompey sporting director Richard Hughes confirmed in the past few days to BBC Sport that the club were considering sending Yang or Conor Chaplin back to Tottenham or Ipswich, respectively.
Now, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, the decision to send Yang back to Spurs has been made - though he'll head straight back out on loan.
The winger made 10 starts in all competitions at Fratton Park, scoring three goals including a dramatic late winner in a recent 2-1 victory over Charlton Athletic.
Now he'll get the chance to team up with Frank Lampard at Coventry, who are in desperate need of inspiration as they're beginning to lose their grip on top spot in the Championship.
The Sky Blues remain on course to seal promotion back to the Premier League for the first time since 2001 and Lampard does have a proven track record for developing young talent.
Spurs have already agreed on a number of loans this month. Fellow attacker Jamie Donley recently joined Oxford United on loan with a buy-option.
Alfie Dorrington has also been recalled from his loan at Aberdeen while Damola Ajayi is back at Tottenham following a short spell with Doncaster Rovers in League One.
Dorrington is expected to head back out on loan to the Championship or League One while forgotten winger Manor Solomon has joined Fiorentina on an initial loan with an option to buy.
Japanese centre-back Kota Takai has also moved to Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach following his summer arrival from Kawasaki Frontale.
He's yet to make an appearance for Spurs, though he was recently named in the squad for the narrow 1-0 Premier League win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Spurs are still yet to make a January signing despite selling winger Brennan Johnson to Crystal Palace for £35m.
Thomas Frank is optimistic that Spurs will soon add quality to their squad following a vast number of outgoings (including youth players).
