One Tottenham Hotspur man, who came back into the starting eleven for the 3-0 win against West Ham, has been shortlisted for the Premier League player of the week award.
Thomas Frank has said that he has a plan to prevent another injury crisis at Tottenham this season, and we have already seen plenty of evidence of that at the start of the season.
The Dane has been willing to rotate his squad much more than previous Tottenham Hotspur managers, and that was the case again at the London Stadium on Saturday, with Mathys Tel and Lucas Bergvall coming into the starting eleven.
Bergvall, who swept all of Tottenham’s end-of-season awards last term, served another reminder of his talent, with West Ham struggling to cope with his runs from midfield.

The Swede marked his performance with an outstanding goal, making an intelligent run to peel off the West Ham defence and meeting Cristian Romero’s long pass with a brilliant lopping header to put Tottenham 2-0 up and effectively kill the game.
It was the sort of performance that would be difficult for Thomas Frank to ignore, with the Spurs head coach lavishing praise on Bergvall following the win.
The teenager has deservedly been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Week award on the back of his showing.

It was only the 19-year-old’s second start of the season, and he may feel a little hard done by, given that he was Tottenham’s best player last season.
However, speaking to the Swedish media during the international break, Bergvall insisted that he has felt the backing of Thomas Frank, and that he is enjoying working with the Danish coach.
Frank’s coaching staff have also spoken glowingly of Bergvall’s attitude and mentality, and one certainly would not bet against the teenager evolving into one of the best in the world in his position.
