Tottenham Hotspur have been backed to spend big in January, and the club are expected to make a move for a Brazilian superstar if he becomes available.
The left-wing role has been a problem area for Spurs, with Wilson Odobert and new signing Xavi Simons struggling to produce consistent performances in the position.
To address the issue, it has been suggested that Tottenham could turn to a Real Madrid star, who was heavily linked with a move to N17 back in the summer.
It was reported by TBR Football a few days ago that Spurs could rekindle their interest in Rodrygo, who is looking for an exit from the Santiago Bernabeu.

Tottenham are ready to spend a club-record fee on Rodrygo
Journalist Dean Jones has now said that Tottenham are determined to show their intent with statement signings over the next couple of transfer windows.
He explains that strengthening their attack is a priority for Spurs, predicting that they will act if Rodrygo or Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz become available.
Jones told TEAMtalk: “Before the January transfer window opens, I think we will get a better realisation of how high Tottenham are ready to set the bar when it comes to making new signings.
“It is a difficult window to make a statement signing, but I would expect us to get a good idea soon of their intent in terms of where they are going to take the club in 2026 and beyond.
“I already reported about the wide attacking targets being an area of priority, and that absolutely is the case, and they have been drawing up names over the past two weeks. But even as part of that, they realise that some of the names are probably going to be off-limits in the next transfer window.
“I really think Spurs will seek to make some of the biggest signings in their history. They have to be careful as part of that because there will be a chance that with new investment comes a new premium that you are asked to pay for talent.
“But if the likes of Rodrygo at Real Madrid or Yildiz at Juve become a genuine possibility in January or in the summer, then I think Spurs will put themselves in the picture.”
Spurs will face competition from Premier League rivals for Rodrygo
The update from TEAMtalk claims that the Real Madrid star is keen on testing himself in the Premier League, but the Lilywhites are expected to face competition for his signature.
Liverpool are said to be eyeing Rodrygo as a potential long-term replacement for Mohammed Salah, while Man City are also admirers of the pacy winger.
Additionally, it has been suggested by other sources that Arsenal are also prepared to battle Tottenham for the 24-year-old in January.
