Pascal Chimbonda has shared his thoughts on two Tottenham Hotspur youngsters who have struggled to cement a spot in Thomas Frank’s first team.
The Tottenham first-team squad has been highly competitive this season, with many players having to settle for fewer minutes than they might have liked.
Mathys Tel is one of these players, as the striker trails Richarlison in the pecking order and has made just three Premier League starts.
His France under-21s teammate Wilson Odobert has spent more time on the pitch recently, but he too has not done enough to be rewarded with a permanent spot in the starting lineup.

Pascal Chimbonda calls for Tottenham duo to be given more game time
Frechman and ex-Tottenham defender Pascal Chimbonda is a big fan of Odobert and Tel, and he is eager to see Frank provide them with more minutes.
The 46-year-old has even drawn a comparison between Odobert and one of the club’s summer signings, who has already established himself as a fan favourite.
Chimbonda exclusively told The Spurs Web: “I think Odobert needs more game time. I think he’s similar to [Mohammed] Kudus. If both are playing on the wings, I think we can cause teams more problems, and we will create more chances to score.
“Tel is a talented player, very good, and I think when he comes off the bench, he’s more lively and dangerous like when he used to play for Bayern [Munich].”
Odobert and Tel both found form before the international break
Tottenham were left disappointed after losing the lead late on against Manchester United. However, it was a good game for Tel and Odobert, who each secured a goal contribution during the game.
This was especially significant for Odobert, as he built on the goal he scored in the Champions League against Copenhagen with an assist. As well as this, it was his first Premier League goal contribution this season.
Both players will be hoping Frank has not forgotten their contributions after the international break, as they look forward to a potential start in the upcoming North London derby.
