A talkSPORT journalist has just described a senior Tottenham man as a ‘liability’ after Tottenham’s 5-3 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain.
Not many Spurs fans would have given their side a chance of getting a result in Paris against the reigning European champions, even after their Super Cup efforts.
In fact, given the abject performance they delivered in the North London derby, many would have feared another drubbing.
However, to their credit, Tottenham battled hard and gave PSG more than a few scares, and if not for some defensive lapses, they could have easily emerged with a point.

Alex Crook blasts Tottenham defender Cristian Romero after PSG defeat
Romero was uncharacteristically poor, with his poor choice of pass leading to PSG’s third goal, and while he also had the opportunity to clear the ball in the lead-up to the Ligue 1 club’s late penalty.
Alex Crook has said that Tottenham have a lot of positives to take from the performance, especially after the debacle at the Emirates.
However, the journalist blasted Romero’s display, referring to the Spurs captain as a ‘liability’.
Crook wrote on social media: “Watched Tottenham for talkSPORT tonight. Many more positives than on Sunday, particularly with Kolo Muani netting twice, but Thomas Frank will be raging with some of the defending. Romero, in particular, a liability.”

Some Spurs fans turn on Romero after controversial incident
It was a performance that the Tottenham captain will want to forget, but what he did after the final whistle has caused even more anger among the fan base than his performance.
Romero and Rodrigo Bentancur walked straight down the tunnel at Parc des Princes rather than joining the rest of the squad in applauding the travelling fans.
Some Spurs fans have suggested Romero’s unwillingness to face the crowd is unbecoming of a leader, while a few even questioned if the Argentine is happy at the club.
