Tim Sherwood believes that an attacker, who has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham, is as close to a guaranteed success as one can get in the transfer market.
Reports indicate that Tottenham want to make a statement signing to their attack in January, with the North Londoners ready to spend big to do so.
ENIC have injected £100m into Tottenham, and a lot of Spurs fans want that money to be spent on one Premier League attacker.
That player is Antoine Semenyo, whom Tottenham have been labelled the favourites to land by some sources, but one pundit does not think it will be easy for the Lilywhites to clinch the deal.

Tim Sherwood makes confident claim about Tottenham target Antoine Semenyo
It has been reported over recent weeks that Tottenham may have to battle the likes of Liverpool and Man City for Semenyo. It was reported on Monday evening that Semenyo has a £65m release clause that will become active in January.
Tim Sherwood expects a long queue of clubs to line up for the Bournemouth star in January, and he suggested that the 25-year-old is as close to a guaranteed hit as one can get in the transfer market.
The former Spurs midfielder and interim head coach told Sky Sports: “Semenyo needs to keep himself fit, doesn’t he? There will be a queue a mile long for this boy. He’s top drawer, really a wonderful player.
“He doesn’t have to settle into the Premier League, and you know what you’re gonna get. The only question mark would be, it’s okay playing for Bournemouth and Bristol City, but can you play for Liverpool?
“Can you play for Tottenham when the spotlight is on? Can you play for Arsenal, you know? He reminds me of… His career is a bit like Eze. A little bit. And he’s stepped up at Arsenal. He’s been outstanding. There’s never a 100 per cent sure thing, but I think he’s the nearest you’re ever going to come to it.”
Why Semenyo appears more likely to leave Bournemouth next summer
The Ghana international only signed a five-year contract at the South Coast club in the summer, and Andoni Iraola’s men are currently tied on 18 points with the likes of Spurs and Man United.
According to reports, Semenyo has not expressed a desire to leave Bournemouth in January despite the growing transfer interest.
However, he appears certain to make a step up to a bigger club at the end of this season, with reports indicating that a £65m release clause in Semenyo’s contract becomes active next summer.
