Tottenham Hotspur’s search for attacking reinforcements could lead them back to a familiar name, with fresh developments emerging around Brentford winger Kevin Schade.
There is a general acceptance that Tottenham Hotspur’s wide areas have been underwhelming so far this season.
Mohammed Kudus represented a bright spark, but has since been sidelined with an injury, although he is nearing a return.
Mathys Tel has struggled for game time, Wilson Odobert is managing an ACL injury, while Spurs weakened their wide depth in the winter by selling Brennan Johnson.
The expectation was for Tottenham to bolster their winger ranks last transfer window, but they opted against doing so despite being linked with a couple of options.

Tottenham linked with Kevin Schade as Brentford set £60m price tag
Football Insider now reports that one of Spurs’ winter transfer targets, Kevin Schade, is attracting interest from several European clubs.
The likes of Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are among those currently monitoring the wide forward, with Brentford understood to have placed a price tag of £60 million on him.
Ahead of the winter window, Kevin Schade was linked with a potential reunion with Spurs boss Thomas Frank.
However, no move materialised, with the German instead remaining at the Gtech Stadium, where he has continued to impress, scoring more goals than Spurs’ wide options (seven).
Spurs face competition for Kevin Schade amid transfer interest
The Bees themselves are understood to be ready to sell the German for the right price this summer transfer window.
However, it is claimed that Tottenham are likely to face difficulty in striking a deal due to their ongoing fight against relegation.
Spurs’ transfer plans have since seen them identify Schade as a player who could come in and have a big impact next term.
But they are not well placed to secure his signature at the moment. Instead, a move abroad looks more likely for Schade, with both Bayern Munich and Inter Milan better placed to do a deal.
