Manor Solomon’s proposed move to Crystal Palace has hit a roadblock as Tottenham Hotspur and the South London club disagree on a key aspect of the deal.
Most Spurs fans have been regularly refreshing their social media feeds across deadline day, waiting for updates, and it has been an eventful day to say the least.
Randal Kolo Munai is now set to join Tottenham, and reports indicate that Spurs might not be done strengthening their squad just yet.
Additionally, the Lilywhites have also been working on getting some players out of the door, but their efforts to offload Solomon appear to have hit a snag.
Manor Solomon’s move to Crystal Palace is in doubt
The Israeli winger was named on the bench by Thomas Frank during Tottenham’s 1-0 loss to Bournemouth, but the North London club are now working to sell him before the 7 pm deadline.
It appeared that they had succeeded, as reports over recent hours had indicated that Crystal Palace were advancing on negotiations to land Solomon.
However, according to the latest update by The Independent’s Miguel Delaney the negotiations have run into difficulty because of a key disagreement between Spurs and the FA Cup winners.
Delaney revealed that Tottenham are insisting on adding an obligation to buy to Solomon’s loan deal, while Palace want it to be an option to buy.
Tottenham have managed to offload another winger
While Spurs’ efforts to sell Solomon may have hit a stumbling block, Thomas Frank’s men have successfully managed to offload another of their wingers.
Earlier today, it was suggested that Tottenham may be forced to terminate the year left in Bryan Gil’s contract.
However, some sources are now claiming that Spurs have agreed to sell Gil to Girona in a deal worth £8.5m, with the Spain international set to return to Estadi Montilivi, where he impressed on loan last term.
