Trent Alexander-Arnold's Champions League debut for Real Madrid could not have gone much worse, with the former Liverpool star forced off injured after just four minutes.

The right-back was given the nod by Xabi Alonso to start ahead of Dani Carvajal as the Spanish giant began its European campaign against French side Marseille.

He would last just a matter of minutes though before pulling up with what appeared to be a hamstring injury, and being forced off in just the fourth minute of the game. The injury puts serious doubt over whether he will make a return to Anfield with Real later this year.
