Leandro Trossard is the latest Arsenal star to suffer an injury as four others deal with issues before the Premier League clash against Chelsea

Mikel Arteta still has several Arsenal injury problems to contend with despite welcoming back three key players in the last seven days. Gabriel Martinelli and Noni Madueke were in the matchday squad that beat Tottenham this past weekend with Martin Odegaard on the bench for Wednesday's Champions League win over Bayern Munich.

The Gunners captain made his return with 10 minutes to play while Martinelli and Madueke, who both scored in the win, were introduced earlier on. A fresh concern did arrive for Arteta though, as Leandro Trossard was forced off in the first half.

Adding the Belgian to an injury list that already consists of Gabriel Magalhaes, Viktor Gyokeres, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus will almost certainly see Arsenal without some big names for the trip to Chelsea in Premier League action this Sunday.

With all of that being said, football.london has rounded up the latest Arsenal injury updates before another London derby and when those absent could potentially return.

Leandro Trossard

Trossard was forced off just before half-time in Arsenal's triumph over Bayern Munich. Arteta delivered a far from positive update in his post-match press conference.

What Arteta has said: "With Leo, we don't know. He said he felt something. We didn't want to take any risk, obviously."

Potential return date: N/A.

Kai Havertz

Havertz could be awarded his first minutes since the opening day of the season during the win over Manchester United against former club Chelsea. However, a return in December seems far more likely.

What Arteta has said: "In the next few days, they're [Gyokeres and Havertz] going to have a repeat scan to see how everything is and where we can push them for the weekend."

Potential return date: Chelsea (A) - Sunday, November 30.

Viktor Gyokeres

Gyokeres is also pushing for his return to be this Sunday against Chelsea. Having missed far less than Havertz, a comeback for the Swede seems far more likely.

What Arteta has said: "In the next few days, they're [Gyokeres and Havertz] going to have a repeat scan to see how everything is and where we can push them for the weekend."

Potential return date: Chelsea (A) - Sunday, November 30.

Martin Odegaard

Arteta was able to stay true to his comments about a return to the fold for Odegaard as he played the final period of the Bayern Munich clash. He had missed the previous seven weeks with a knee injury.

What Arteta has said: “We are going to have a meeting to decide about Martin. He was really close for the previous game (against Tottenham). We are hopeful that tomorrow [Wednesday] he can be in the squad as well.”

Potential return date: Chelsea (A) - Sunday, November 30.

Gabriel Magalhaes

While playing for Brazil, Gabriel suffered a groin problem with Arsenal's key defender set to miss a lengthy period.

What Arteta has said: "He picked up an injury with the national team, and he's going to be out for weeks.

"We need to have another scan, I think, it is next Wednesday, and we'll have a timeline, probably, much more clear at that moment."

Potential return date: December 2025/January 2026.

Gabriel Jesus

After suffering a serious knee injury back in January, Jesus is edging closer towards a long-awaited return.

What Arteta has said: "It's about making the steps day-by-day in a different surrounding. He's been doing everything on his own.

"Now he's got very competitive players around him, and let's see how he copes with that. But he's full of energy."

Potential return date: December 2025.
