Tottenham youngster Luca Williams-Barnett continues his fine form at the youth level, finding the net twice as the club’s under-21 side cruised to victory over Newcastle United.

Tottenham Hotspur have a top youngster coming through their ranks in Luca Williams-Barnett, who is slowly bursting onto the scene.

The youngster earned his Tottenham debut earlier in the season, coming on in the Carabao Cup against Doncaster Rovers; however, he has since returned to featuring for Spurs’ under-21 side.

Williams-Barnett’s talent has been clear to see, and Tottenham fans have been left pleased with how well the youngster is developing at this stage of his career.

Luca Williams-Barnett shines for Tottenham U21 vs Newcastle United

The 16-year-old has already grabbed six league goals in the youth division after just six games, while also creating chances for his teammates with three assists.

Two of those six goals came in Tottenham’s under-21s’ latest outing against Newcastle United, where Williams-Barnett was once more the star of the show.

Spurs defeated the Newcastle U21 side 4-1, with the teenager grabbing a brace while also providing an assist in the league fixture.

It was two well-taken strikes, with one coming from inside the box and another from the edge, showing the variety and confidence in his finishing.

Williams-Barnett earns Premier League 2 nomination after Spurs breakthrough

Williams-Barnett’s recent form has seen him nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award, and he is joined by another Tottenham star, Rio Kyerematen.

Spurs have since recognised the talent in the youngster and have gone on to hand Williams-Barnett a professional contract.

The youngster, who has been at Spurs for six years, clearly has eyes on playing regularly in the Tottenham first team squad.

Reflecting on his latest deal, Williams-Barnett stated that he is not where he wants to be just yet, but he is only a step closer to reaching his goal.
