Tottenham legend Heung-min Son netted yet another brace for LAFC on Saturday as they emerged comfortable winners against St Louis City.

Son scored 173 goals for Tottenham in total, placing him fifth on the club’s all-time scoring list, and he was one of the most consistent forwards across the Premier League for the last decade.

The Spurs legend decided to call time on his career in Europe this summer, and as expected, he is looking a cut above the rest since his move to the United States

Son has been ripping defences in the MLS to shreds since his summer move, and he continued that trend on Saturday at St Louis.

Son’s latest brace means that the South Korean now has eight goals in his first eight MLS outings.

The former Tottenham man scored his first of the game and LAFC’s second in the injury time at the end of the first half.

Faced with a two-on-two situation in a counter-attack, the 33-year-old was allowed to run into the box as the defender backed off, and he punished St Louis for it.

Heung-min Son then sealed the result for LAFC at the hour mark, making space for himself on the edge of the box before finding the bottom corner.

Heung-min Son admits he has one unfinished business at Tottenham

In an interview last week, the Spurs legend admitted that it was special to say goodbye to his Tottenham teammates in South Korea in the summer.

However, Son admitted that he would love to say goodbye at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if he gets a chance to do so.

One would expect the 33-year-old to pay a visit to N17 when the MLS season comes to an end, and there is no doubt that he will get a special ovation from the Tottenham faithful.
