A highly-rated young Tottenham striker is continuing to show glimpses of his quality in front of goal out on loan.

Spurs have a number of players out on loan across various divisions, and many of them are impressing.

The latest player to be added to that list is Kota Takai, who has joined Borussia Mönchengladbach temporarily until the end of the season.

A 20-year-old Spurs academy graduate is quietly impressing despite playing for a struggling side, and he showed his quality again on Thursday.

Tottenham youngster Will Lankshear scores his sixth goal of the season

Will Lankshear has an exceptional record in youth football for Spurs, and he made his mark in the first-team last season, scoring his first senior goal for the club in their Europa League clash at Galatasaray.

The centre-forward joined Oxford United on loan in the summer and has been getting regular game time for the club, who currently find themselves in the relegation zone.

Lankshear started again for Oxford away at Ipswich on Thursday, and he netted the away side’s equaliser on 34 minutes, finishing smartly after being played through on goal.

However, the goal was not enough for Oxford to get anything from the game, with Ipswich emerging 2-1 winners. Watch Lankshear’s goal below:

Lankshear is doing better than his numbers suggest

The Tottenham striker has managed six goals and an assist in 24 Championship outings so far.

While those numbers do not seem impressive, it is worth noting that he is playing for a poor side, who sit 23rd in the table and have struggled to create chances.

Manager Gary Rowett has been sacked by the Yellows, and the Tottenham youngster is now waiting to find out who will be working with Kassam Stadium for the rest of the term.
