PSG recorded a 5-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur, but one of the black eyes in this performance was the red card from Lucas Hernandez. Right as the Ligue 1 side could celebrate their three points, the veteran defender was sent off due to an inexcusable action.
Hernandez had been commanding the space in front of Xavi Simons, but then swung an apparent elbow at him. After reviewing the replay, the referee quickly reached a decision and issued a red card. A costly mistake by the PSG defender spoiled the match’s closing moments, and he will now be suspended.
