Mikel Arteta's Arsenal are six points clear at the top of the table and are now the overriding favourites to win the Premier League title
Viktor Gyokeres has opened up on how Arsenal are coping with being the favourites to win the Premier League title. The Gunners are now heavy favourites to lift their first title since 2004 following a dramatic weekend in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta's team extended their lead at the top of the table with an impressive 4-0 win over Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon. That put pressure on Manchester City and Aston Villa to respond a day later.
But City threw away a two-goal lead against Tottenham Hotspur to draw 2-2 - while Aston Villa were beaten at home by Brentford. That means the Gunners are now six points clear at the top of the table.
And when asked how his teammates were dealing with any outside noise, Gyokeres replied: "I think the most important thing is focus on what we have to do, to make sure we do things right every day in training and, of course, in the games.
"We have done that really well, that's why we're in the position that we are. We want to keep improving, keep doing well all the way through the season.

We have so much to focus on inside [the camp].
"There are some big things coming up and it's always nice to have things to look forward to. But we have games right here in front of us that's also very exciting.
"[Chelsea] Is a big game and, for me at least, we need to look forward to that game and be present."

Gyokeres has scored 11 times so far this season since moving to the Gunners from Sporting CP last summer summer.
"I've enjoyed it since I came here," the Sweden international told CBS Sports. "It's been challenging - at times - but I've been improving a lot, trying to learn as much as possible with the team and the club. I've been enjoying it but, of course, it's been a challenge."
He added: "It was the same when I moved to Portugal, it didn't work perfectly from the beginning - there was also a period where I have to adjust to the style and how they want to play.
"It's the same thing here. It's a bit different. You have to adapt and embrace it."
