Arsenal star Viktor Gyokeres insists his best is still to come despite adding to his tally in his debut season at the Gunners. The Swede was on target for Mikel Arteta's side as they returned to winning ways with a commanding 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
The 27-year-old made it three for the campaign as he combined with fellow summer signing Ebere Eze to double the lead shortly after the break. Gyokeres showed his quality inside the 18-yard box to latch on to the England international's cross to compound the misery for former Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou in his first match since succeeding Nuno Espirito Santo at Forest.
Arsenal returned to the top of the league, albeit momentarily, as Liverpool maintained their unbeaten start to the season after a late penalty from Mohamed Salah helped them past ten-man Burnley.
Following a defeat to Arne Slot's side on the eve of the international break, Arsenal's win saw them move above their London rivals, Spurs, who came out on top against West Ham United.
The arrival of Gyokeres marked a much-needed injection of quality up front for Arsenal and he has proved his worth since coming in for criticism after his debut against Manchester United.

Despite adding another goal to his tally, the former Sporting CP talisman believes there is more to come.
"Yeah, for sure. You want to perform and show that you deserve to be on the pitch," he said. "I wanted to get here and get going. Of course, it's going to be pressure in a very, very big club. You know that.
"But you’re just trying to make the best of it when you're out on the pitch and just not think too much about that." Gyokeres will be looking to continue his blistering start to life back in the Premier League but their attention will turn to the Champions League with their campaign kicking off against Athletic Club.
Arsenal enjoyed the furthest run of any English team in last season's elite European competition before their exit to eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain at the semi-final stage.
After a relentless start, the forward is raring for the challenges that lie ahead. He added: "It’s tough. "It's been a lot of top teams in a short period.
"But we have to handle that and make sure we are prepared and do our best. “Difficult away game to start with on Tuesday. And then a home game that's also going to be a challenge.
"So it's two fun games to look forward to.”
