Wayne Rooney has made an interesting claim about Tottenham Hotspur’s next Premier League clash against Manchester United.
The Premier League is proving extremely unpredictable this season, with teams showing that they are capable of beating anyone else, no matter their position in the table.
However, one of the few things that has remained consistent over recent weeks is the fact that Tottenham struggle at home while being almost unbeatable away from their stadium.
It is thus not good news that Spurs face another home game next up, with a revitalised Man United side set to visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

Wayne Rooney claims Saturday’s result could dictate Tottenham and Man United seasons
United scored a late equaliser at the City Ground to salvage a point on Saturday, and Rooney believes that Tottenham’s loss to Chelsea has made the upcoming fixture even more crucial.
The pundit suggested that the result of Saturday’s fixture could have a huge bearing on the campaigns of the Red Devils and the Lilywhites, who are level on points at the moment.
The Man United legend said on BBC Sport’s The Wayne Rooney Show: “It’s a big game, I think, after United [have] obviously [had their] recent run. They look to be back in a decent place, anyway. And so, I think it’s a big game after Tottenham losing to Chelsea.
“Whoever wins that, [it] could really kick them on. Whoever loses it, [it] could be a tough one to take. So, I think it’s a massive game coming up then.”
Spurs need to kick on from the Champions League
Tottenham may have some pretty dismal home form in the Premier League, but the complete opposite is true in Europe. Spurs have won both of their home fixtures so far this season against Villarreal and Copenhagen.
In fact, Tottenham are now on an impressive 22-game unbeaten run at home in European competitions, including 17 wins and 12 clean sheets.
Even their goal difference is impressive, standing at plus 47, which means they win each match by an average of 2.14 goals.
