Bernardo Silva was less than impressed with the officials as Manchester City slipped seven points behind Arsenal in the Premier League title race

Manchester City skipper Bernardo Silva felt the Blues were on the wrong end of referee calls as they dropped two points in a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest at the Etihad.

Antoine Semenyo and then Rodri put City in front but Forest twice equalised through Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliott Anderson to earn a share of the spoils. The result keeps Forest out of the bottom three and dents City's title ambitions with Arsenal now seven points clear following a 1-0 win at Brighton.

City were not at their best but had two penalty shouts in the second half, first when Erling Haaland went down under a challenge from Mats Sels at 2-1, and then in added time when Elliott Anderson collided with Rodri after the latter skewed a shot off target.

Referee Darren England waved away City appeals and VAR backed the on field call on both occasions. But Bernardo, speaking to TNT Sports after the game, felt City didn't get the rub of the green.

"We're quite used to it this season because all 50/50s have gone against us," he said. "It's the reality. I've just watched, for example, the Erling incident (with Sels) and for me it's a penalty. Some might have a different opinion. What can Erling do?

"As I said, we're used to it. We know how it works. For us, our job is just to be better because these things we cannot control. What we can control is our own performances and that's what we need to focus on."
