Arsenal star Max Dowman scored a sublime individual goal for England Under-19s which has caught the attention of Gunners supporters
Max Dowman has left Arsenal fans stunned after his latest performance for his country. The teenager has enjoyed his breakthrough season for the Gunners this term and has been rewarded with minutes in the first team.
Dowman scored in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Everton in the Premier League before the international break, which was the 16-year-old’s first goal in senior football for the Gunners.
The teenager has since been tipped for a bright future at Arsenal, and there were even debates on whether Dowman should have been called up to the senior England squad by Thomas Tuchel for the latest round of international fixtures.
Instead, Dowman was called up to the England Under-19 squad as they faced Portugal in a UEFA European Championship qualification tie on Tuesday.

Dowman picked up the ball near the halfway line in the opposition half and close to the touchline, and managed to hold off a Portugal player before going on a run into the penalty area.
As Dowman approached the 18-yard box, he was met by several Portugal players, but the Arsenal star launched a left-footed strike on the edge of the penalty area that easily beat the goalkeeper.
A clip of Dowman’s goal has been circulated across social media, with plenty of Arsenal fans expressing their excitement at the prospect of the forward doing the same for the Gunners.
One fan wrote: “He's different,” while another said, “Premier League is not ready for what's coming.”
