Tottenham Hotspur have now received clarity on Omar Marmoush’s position amid ongoing transfer speculation involving the Lilywhites.
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Omar Marmoush in recent months as they look to bolster their attacking ranks.
It was explained that Manchester City could be open to selling the Egyptian international this winter should they secure the services of Antoine Semenyo, and, as such, Spurs were monitoring the situation closely.
However, reports in recent weeks have claimed that City are no longer looking to move Marmoush on this transfer window, with a sale more likely in the summer, handing Spurs a potential blow in their pursuit.

Tottenham learn Omar Marmoush stance on transfer talk
Journalist Florian Plettenberg has now revealed the stance of Omar Marmoush amid the ongoing transfer speculation.
According to the Sky Sport reporter, it is understood that Marmoush currently has no plans to leave Manchester City in January.
He claims that, at this stage, the City forward intends to stay and fight for his place at the Etihad, despite numerous enquiries being on the table from top clubs, while it has also been denied that there are any talks with Tottenham.

Spurs set to explore alternative options amid Marmoush blow
Marmoush is currently away with Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations, meaning any potential deal would likely take place after the tournament, although that now appears unlikely given City’s current injury issues.
Savinho, who was also a player on Spurs’ radar, is currently sidelined with a long-term injury, which should allow Marmoush to see increased game time at the Etihad.
Spurs will now have to turn their attention elsewhere, with it being claimed that a player Tottenham tried to sign on deadline day is back on their radar as he continues to impress at AFCON.
