6 hours ago 33

The FA Cup third round draw is a highlight of the football calendar, with Liverpool among the Premier League and Championship teams joining the fray alongside numerous lower-league clubs dreaming of a high-profile match-up.

It has been a disappointing season so far for Arne Slot's champions and the campaign hit a new low with Mohamed Salah's shock outburst at the weekend. While focus will be on the trip to Inter Milan, Slot will certainly have one eye on the draw for the third round.

The third round will see 64 teams in action, comprising the top two divisions and the 20 second round victors. The FA Cup draw will also feature at least two sixth-tier clubs due to a couple of all-non-league clashes this weekend.

Many of the clubs in the third round draw will be hoping to land the big boys, as marquee fixtures can provide a significant financial boost. Here's everything you need to know about the FA Cup third round draw.

The FA Cup third round draw is slated for Monday, December 8, at roughly 6.40pm UK time (1:45pm ET). The draw will be overseen by Peter Crouch and Joe Cole ahead of the kick-off between Brackley Town and Burton Albion, the final match of the second round.

How to watch

The third round draw will be aired live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK and will also be available to stream live on the discovery+ app.

Fans without a TNT Sports subscription can catch the draw on the TNT Sports YouTube channel. All third round matches are scheduled to take place over the weekend starting Saturday, January 10.
