Tottenham are edging closer to completing two winter additions, with both Conor Gallagher and Souza having medicals this week.

Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on two deals this winter window as they look to bolster Thomas Frank’s squad.

Santos full-back Souza has agreed on personal terms with Tottenham, who have since had their £15 million bid accepted by Santos.

Conor Gallagher is also edging closer to a move to north London after reports on Monday revealed that Spurs had reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid on a €40 million deal, with the former Chelsea man keen on a transfer to Tottenham.

Tottenham medical updates on Conor Gallagher and Souza

Journalist Ben Jacobs has now revealed when the two players will finalise their moves to Tottenham.

According to the journalist, Souza’s Spurs medical is expected to take place within the next 48 hours, following his £13 million move being agreed, with the defender set to sign a contract until the summer of 2031.

As for Conor Gallagher, his medical is set to begin today after the 25-year-old said his goodbyes to players and staff last night.

Gallagher last featured for Atletico Madrid on January 8 in the Spanish side’s clash against Real Madrid, where he played for 45 minutes.

Meanwhile, Souza has not been in action since December 7 and will need some time to get up to speed, given his lack of minutes in recent weeks.

Gallagher and Souza could be present for Spurs’ next Premier League game

With the moves set to be finalised this week, there is a chance that both players will at least be present for Spurs’ next league encounter against West Ham United.

They could take part in some training ahead of the league game on 17 January, and could also be unveiled in front of Tottenham fans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, it remains to be seen whether they will be passed fit enough to start or even make the matchday bench. With each passing day, that seems a little more unlikely, particularly for Souza, who has not kicked a ball in over a month.
