The international break feels like it has come at a good time for Liverpool, with the Reds’ having been derailed over the past week or so after making a perfect start to the season.
Having held a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League as September drew to a close, Arne Slot’s side now finds itself a point behind Arsenal after a run of three consecutive defeats in all competitions, which has also seen its Champions League hopes dented.
The huge summer overhaul has not yet provided the results the Reds would have been hoping for, with the likes of Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak still trying to find their feet after arriving in record-breaking deals.
Many of Liverpool’s senior stars will get the chance to take their minds off their current struggles with their club as they embark on international duties, with 21 players in total in action over the next week or so.
Once they return to Merseyside though, the fixture list remains hectic, and they will have to get back to their best form quickly as Liverpool fights it out on three fronts in its upcoming games.

Games don’t come much bigger for a Liverpool player than Manchester United at home, and that’s what’s lying in wait for the Reds when they return from the international break.
Ruben Amorim looks as though he will remain in charge to lead the Red Devils at Anfield, with Slot and his players needing to bounce back and inflict more pain on a beleaguered United side.
A trip to Germany follows as Hugo Ekitike comes up against his former side, with the Reds aiming to get their Champions League league phase campaign back on track against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Liverpool then makes its way to Brentford for another league game, before coming up against Crystal Palace for the third time already this season, this time in the Carabao Cup.
November starts with Aston Villa visiting Anfield, and Liverpool will hope to have got its season back on track by the time Unai Emery’s side comes to town.
