Liverpool will look to bounce back from a disappointing late defeat at Wolves on Tuesday with a rematch between the two teams at Molineux, this time in the FA Cup.

A late deflected goal from Andre saw Wolves take the points in the Premier League meeting. The Brazilian is set to be suspended here, though, and Arne Slot has promised that his side has a point to prove four days on from the 2-1 loss.

In the fifth round, as is the case throughout the competition, there are no replays, and so the game could go to extra time and penalties. VAR is introduced at this point in the tournament, though, and the referee is Farai Hallam, who drew praise for his performance at Anfield as the Reds beat Barnsley earlier in the competition.

For whoever gets through to the quarter-finals, all eyes will then be on the draw for the next round. And the FA has confirmed that it will be made on Monday, March 9, live on TNT Sports in the U.K.

The draw will take place at the London Stadium ahead of West Ham United vs Brentford. It will also be streamed on YouTube for those unable to get in front of a television.

It is expected that the draw will begin at approximately 7.05 p.m. U.K. time (2.05 p.m. ET) during the pre-match coverage from West Ham.

Presented by TNT Sports commentator Darren Fletcher and pundit Ally McCoist, the draw itself will be made by the former Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

The ball numbers for the fifth round draw, with none of the ties concluded yet, are:

  1. Fulham or Southampton
  2. Port Vale or Sunderland
  3. Newcastle United or Manchester City
  4. Leeds United or Norwich City
  5. Mansfield Town or Arsenal
  6. Wolverhampton Wanderers or Liverpool#
  7. Wrexham or Chelsea
  8. West Ham United or Brentford

The FA Cup quarter-finals will be played around the weekend of Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5. There are no Premier League matches scheduled to take place across those few days.

"This is the first time that it's happened," Ryan Gravenberch, referencing the fact that Liverpool is set to play Wolves for the second time in a week, told club media.

"We had them in the league and then on Friday we have the FA Cup game. We didn't get the result [on Tuesday], so I think we have to prepare well and show that we can get the result [on Friday].

"They have a good team. They are last in the league but I don't think they deserve to be there because they have a really good team — you saw that also in the game.

"I know it will be a tough game because they have the confidence as well. But we have to be mentally strong and show them that we can get the result as well."
