Tottenham Hotspur are set to have a new man in the dugout after Igor Tudor departed the north London club on Sunday
Tottenham expect to appoint a new head coach in the next couple of days to replace Igor Tudor.
It was announced on Sunday that Spurs and the Croatian have mutually agreed to part ways after a difficult and emotional week for Tudor. The 47-year-old was informed after last weekend's defeat to Nottingham Forest that his father Mario had died and he flew back home for the funeral which took place on Wednesday.
"We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for head coach Igor Tudor to leave the club with immediate effect," read a statement from Spurs. "Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also left their respective roles of Goalkeeping Coach and Physical Coach.
"We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly. We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time. An update on a new head coach will be provided in due course."
Now CEO Vinai Venkatesham and sporting director Johan Lange must turn to someone else. football.london understands that Spurs are looking to have a new head coach in place in time for when the players are back from international duty, giving them all 10 days to work together ahead of the Premier League game at Sunderland.
Coach Bruno Saltor has remained and will lead training for those handful of Tottenham players at Hotspur Way at the moment.
Spurs have seven games to save their Premier League status and various names have been linked with the manager's job, including permanent appointments like Roberto De Zerbi to another interim one in the shape of Adi Hutter, Ryan Mason, Harry Redknapp, Edin Terzic and Marco Rose.
Tudor left without a Premier League win to his name and whoever takes on the role will have to get a quick response from the club's struggling squad in order to turn around their fortunes.
