Simons could be at Spurs stadium against Bournemouth

Tottenham have endured a frustrating summer window, particularly in their search for a creative midfielder to fill the number ten role, with multiple pursuits breaking down at different stages.

For that reason, confirmation of Xavi Simons’ joining would be greeted with huge relief amongst the Tottenham fanbase, especially as the deadline edges closer and nerves start to set in about whether Spurs will secure the right additions.

Should the final paperwork be completed today, there is a strong chance that the 22-year-old will be officially unveiled to the home crowd at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium when Spurs take on Bournemouth at 3 pm UK time on Saturday.
