Where Tottenham finished in the 2025 calendar Premier League table, Spurs fans look away

1 hour ago 28

Tottenham Hotspur found themselves in a shocking position in the Premier League table across the calendar year of 2025.

2025 has been a strange year for Spurs fans. While they did see their club break their 17-year trophy drought and win the Europa League, it was a disastrous year domestically.

Spurs broke several undesirable records across the year, struggling to get results in the Premier League under Ange Postecoglou and Thomas Frank.

It may not come as a surprise to see where the Lilywhites sit compared to the other Premier League sides in 2025.

Tottenham in the bottom three in the Premier League in 2025

It has been revealed by talkSPORT that Tottenham perform dismally in the Premier League’s calendar–year table.

Spurs won just 11 of their 37 matches across 2025, losing 20 and drawing six gams, picking up a measly 39 points. That puts them in 15th place overall in the table, but that is not the most shocking stat.

When one considers only the teams that have been in the Premier League for the full 12 months, Spurs finish in the bottom three.

2025 has disproven the trophy myth held by many Spurs fans

For a long time, a section of Tottenham fans were insistent that only winning trophies mattered and that nothing else did.

The reality, however, is that as brilliant as the night in Bilbao was, it was a fairly miserable year overall for Spurs supporters.

The atmosphere at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has been toxic at times this season, which is clear evidence that winning a European trophy is not even enough to keep the supporters happy for a few months.

Teams need to win consistently and move in the right direction for fans to enjoy watching them, which is why one should think twice before simply writing off the 17 years without a trophy as a ‘failure’, given the numerous top-four finishes.
