It is the dawn of a new era at Tottenham — albeit a very temporary one — as Igor Tudor is joined by three new coaches at the club.
In the wake of Thomas Frank’s sacking by Spurs, the club also waved goodbye to three members of his coaching staff: Justin Cochrane, John Heitinga and Chris Haslam. Analyst Joe Newton also departed.
Igor Tudor is the new man in the dugout, and he obviously felt the need for changes behind the scenes. As such, Tudor has brought in three new coaches who he is already familiar with from previous jobs.
We may only need to know them for around five months, given Tudor’s short-term contract, but it’s still important to learn about Ivan Javorcic, Riccardo Ragnacci, and Tomislav Rogic while they’re here.

Ivan Javorcic joins the Tottenham coaching staff with Igor Tudor
As we say, Igor Tudor knows Ivan Javorcic from his previous roles. His compatriot was his assistant manager at both Juventus and Lazio.
Interestingly, though, the pair had not worked together before they joined forces in March 2024. Javorcic has actually been a manager himself for quite some time, holding the top job at Venezia, Südtirol, Pro Patria, and Mantova.
He’s also worked with Italian outfit Brescia across a number of roles, first as academy manager between 2009 and 2012, before taking on the U19 manager role for a couple of years. He was also caretaker manager of the men’s team there for four matches.
Javorcic’s achievements include guiding Südtirol to promotion to Serie B for the first time in their history, helping Pro Patria get promoted to Serie C, and helping Brescia turn things around despite financial issues at the club.
Who is Riccardo Ragnacci?
Similarly, Riccardo Ragnacci and Tudor have taken separate paths for much of their careers before partnering up more recently.
Ragnacci was already working as a fitness coach at Hellas Verona when Tudor arrived in late 2021. He would remain there for more than a year after Tudor departed, too.
However, when Tudor took over at Juventus for a second time in March 2025, he brought Ragnacci in four months later. In the interim, Ragnacci had been working at Lecce and Empoli.
His role as physical coach at Tottenham is the first time Ragnacci has ventured outside of his native Italy for work.
Everything you need to know about Tomislav Rogic
Tudor has also joined forces with another Croatian in Tomislav Rogic, a goalkeeping coach who he is very familiar with. The pair worked together at Hajduk Split, which was Tudor’s first managerial role.
From there, the pair went in different directions. Rogic worked at Shakhtar Donetsk, Zenit St. Petersberg, and Club Brugge, before taking on a role with the Indian national team.
He then spent just under two years in China, employed by Shanghai Port. But, he would collaborate with Tudor once again in 2023 when the pair returned to Split. From there, he has stayed by Tudor’s side at both Lazio and Juventus.
