Another Premier League side have now emerged as a contender to land Brennan Johnson, who looks set to be the subject of a major transfer battle in January.
It has been widely reported that Tottenham may be willing to cash in on the former Nottingham Forest man in January after he fell down Thomas Frank’s pecking order.
Crystal Palace are thought to be the frontrunners to land Johnson, with the Eagles said to have advanced interest in the Spurs winger.
Some sources have claimed that the Palace have agreed a fee with Tottenham close to £35m, but they are not short of competition for the player.

Bournemouth enter the race for Tottenham winger Brennan Johnson
It has been reported over recent days that several Premier League clubs are keeping an eye on the Tottenham winger’s situation, and another one appears to have entered the race.
Sky Sports have reported in their transfer centre that Bournemouth are now showing an interest in the Wales international.
They claim the Cherries could offer competition to the Eagles for Johnson, who has been identified by Andoni Iraola’s men as a potential replacement for Antoine Semenyo.
Semenyo is said to be closing in on a switch to Manchester City, and should the transfer go through, the South Coast club could enter the race for the former Nottingham Forest man.
Thomas Frank makes claim about Johnson’s Spurs future
Interestingly, this update from Sky Sports states that it is currently unclear if Tottenham would be willing to sell the 24-year-old.
This comes just days after Thomas Frank declared that Johnson is part of his plans at Spurs despite his lack of starts over recent months.
The winger, who finished as Tottenham’s top scorer last season with 18 goals, came on as an 86th-minute substitute during the Lilywhites’ 1-0 win at Selhurst Park.
