Tottenham captain Cristian Romero will now serve another one-match suspension after receiving a red card against Liverpool, and the Argentine may give Thomas Frank yet another headache in the near future.
Romero currently leads the Premier League for total yellow cards this season, having been cautioned seven times, according to Fotmob.
That is excluding the two yellows he picked up against Liverpool, which constituted a sending off for the Argentine.
The Tottenham man was first shown a yellow for complaining to the referee about Liverpool’s controversial second goal, and he then kicked out at Ibrahima Konate in stoppage time, leaving the referee with little choice but to brandish a second yellow.

Another suspension may be on the cards for Cristian Romero at Tottenham
Romero was suspended for Tottenham’s 2-1 loss to Fulham last month after accumulating five yellow cards.
The Spurs captain will now serve his second one-match ban of the season against Crystal Palace on December 28.
However, that is not all, as Romero is also on course to be suspended one more time over the coming months.
The Premier League’s rules state that players who pick up 10 yellow cards before matchweek 32 are banned for an extra two games, and the Tottenham man needs just three cautions over the next 15 matches to reach the tally.
Four other Spurs players are close to a suspension
According to Fotmob, Micky van de Ven, Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur are all on four yellow cards each at the moment.
Players picking up five yellows within the first 19 matches of the season will be suspended for one game.
That means that all four of those players need to avoid getting into the referee’s notebook in the next two matches away at Crystal Palace and Brentford.
