Why Liverpool's sponsor is different on the front of its jersey

Liverpool FC and Standard Chartered are once again collaborating on a special front-of-shirt logo swap, this year highlighting Play On – a joint initiative designed to encourage young girls to stay involved in sport.

For select fixtures at Anfield this month, the Standard Chartered logo will be replaced with the 'Play On' emblem on the players’ shirts. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the barriers girls face in continuing sports participation and the positive impact it can have on their development and future opportunities.

Launched in 2023, Play On addresses the issue of young girls dropping out of sport, emphasizing the wider benefits that staying active and engaged in sport can bring both on and off the pitch.
