Wolves is missing just one first-team player as Rob Edwards' side prepares for a double header against Liverpool this week.

The Reds will travel to Molineux twice within three days to play Wolves in the Premier League before the two teams face each other in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Friday.

Wolves will be missing midfielder Hwang Hee Chan, who picked up a calf injury against Chelsea. "Channy [Hwang] is out and it’ll be a few weeks," said Edwards ahead of the Nottingham Forest game. "It’s his calf. We’ll rescan again a couple of weeks and see where he’s at. But he’ll probably be a number of weeks."

Meanwhile, Liverpool will be missing five players for the game on Tuesday.

Wolves stunned Villa with an impressive 2-0 victory at Molineux, courtesy of strikes from Joao Gomes and Rodrigo Gomes. The result marked Edwards’ second Premier League win since taking charge.

On the game, Edwards said: “I understand that we have to perform, and a win in a derby game, you’re going to get a good atmosphere. I know it’s two ways and the fans were amazing tonight, backed the players, and when Villa had their periods, they were brilliant for us, making a lot of noise.

"The end was incredible. It was a special moment in a difficult season. It’s nice to be able to show some emotion and build that connection that we’re desperate to do. That’s why I came here, nights like that, really special moments. That’s a moment that will live with me forever.”

Liverpool has no new injury concerns ahead of the trip, though Florian Wirtz remains unavailable after being sidelined with a back problem since the Nottingham Forest match.

"The game probably comes too soon tomorrow and maybe the game at the weekend," Arne Slot said about Wirtz. "We hope to have him back next week. Maybe earlier. Maybe a bit later. But that timescale.”

Alexander Isak is still out with a broken leg but is making progress and could return later this month.

Wataru Endo has undergone surgery following the injury he sustained at Sunderland, yet Japan remains hopeful of featuring at the World Cup this summer.

Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni are both sidelined with long-term issues.

Liverpool heads into the game as strong favourites against Wolves, though the Midlands outfit has enjoyed an upturn in form in recent weeks.

"Wolves are doing much better than their results show," Slot added. "The whole season, they've hardly been beaten by a big goal difference. Recently they've been getting points and a win against Aston Villa. It'll be a difficult game tomorrow."
