Chelsea fans turned on manager Liam Rosenior as the club’s slim hopes of Champions League qualification suffered another setback following a 3-0 thrashing away to Brighton.
Albion piled pressure on Blues boss Rosenior by leapfrogging their opponents into sixth place in the Premier League table thanks to goals from Ferdi Kadioglu, Jack Hinshelwood and substitute Danny Welbeck.
Rosenior was the subject of X-rated chants from travelling supporters in the second half at the Amex Stadium before his side’s alarming losing run – and goal drought – stretched to five top-flight games.
Chelsea failed to register an attempt on target during an insipid display and remain seven points adrift of fifth-placed Liverpool, having now played a game more.
The stats don't get any better either... Here's a full list breakdown following the Blues' humiliation on the south coast.

- Chelsea have lost five successive league games without scoring for the first time since November 1912, while their overall five-game losing streak is their longest in the Premier League since November 1993 (a run of 6).
- Brighton have done the league double over Chelsea for just the second time (previously in 2022-23), and have now won three in a row against them in the Premier League. Prior to this, the Seagulls had only managed two wins from their first 19 league meetings with the Blues (D4 L13).
- Chelsea have played 34 Premier League games this season. They have been outrun by their opponents in every match.
- They are bottom of the table in terms of distanced covered per game too. The Blues are 20th with 106.1km covered this season in the Premier League. Nottingham Forest are 19th with 108.4km, while Manchester City top the standings with 115.5km.
- Across each team’s last nine games in the Premier League, only Tottenham (2) have won fewer points than Chelsea (5 – W1 D2 L6).
- Since the start of last season, Brighton have won four of their five meetings with Chelsea across all competitions (L1); only Arsenal have won as many games against the Blues in this period (P6 W4 D2).
- Chelsea failed to land a shot on target in a Premier League game for the first time since February 2025, which was also in a 0-3 defeat against Brighton at the AMEX Stadium.
- Chelsea are now without a clean sheet in any of their last 12 Premier League games - it is only the second time the Blues have had as long a run in the competition, also going 13 without a shutout in the 1996-97 campaign.
- Chelsea's xG in the first half against Brighton (0.04) was lower than they had in any of Enzo Maresca's 114 halves of Premier League football as Chelsea boss. It was also the longest they have gone into a Premier League game this season before attempting their first shot (41st minute).
- Only West Ham (15) have conceded more goals from corners than Chelsea (11) in the Premier League this season, with 11 the joint-most for the Blues in a single campaign in the competition (level with 1994-95).
- This was the first time since September that the trio of Georginio Rutter, Yankuba Minteh and Kaoru Mitoma all started a Premier League match for Brighton, with that previous instance also being in a victory against Chelsea (3-1 at Stamford Bridge).
