AC Milan are interested in exploring the possible signing of Orkan Kokcu from Benfica, but so are two of their Serie A rivals.
Milan confirmed the signing of Samuele Ricci from Torino last week and Luka Modric should be made official soon. However, the midfield rebuild is not complete as Ardon Jashari of Club Brugge is being eyed, while Javi Guerra has been linked, so another player should arrive.
Milan eyeing Kocku
According to what is being reported by Portuguese source A Bola (via FCInterNews), Kökçü is one of the names that Inter are looking at to replace Hakan Calhanoglu. It is being widely reported that the former Milan man wants a return to Turkey, with Galatasaray pushing to land him.
Kökçü meanwhile has been a real revelation for Benfica since joining them from Feyenoord. In 98 appearances for the Lisbon-based club he has 19 goals and 22 assists, playing mostly as a central midfielder.

This means he is in the sights of other Serie A clubs, such as Milan and Roma, but also other foreign clubs such as Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Besiktas. A possible move to Turkey does not appeal to the 24-year-old.
Benfica currently value him at around €40m despite the release clause being set at €150m, which suggests a willingness to negotiate. Milan were actually linked with the Turk back in 2021 so he clearly remained on the radar, but would he be available for less than Jashari?
