A reliable source has now confirmed that Adriano Galliani met with Gerry Cardinale to discuss a return to AC Milan.
It has been reported in recent days that Galliani will return to Milan for a second spell at the club. He was the CEO for 31 years, overseeing an era under Silvio Berlusconi which resulted in 29 trophies won.
However, when the Italian businessman ended up selling the Rossoneri to Yonghong Li, Galliani left with him and they ended up reuniting at Monza. Now, Monza are close to being sold and thus he could be free to explore other options.
Handshake takes place
Now, Matteo Moretto has responded to the speculation about Il Condor during a video update, and he confirmed that things seem to be heading towards a second act.

Moretto confirmed: “They confirmed that there was a handshake between Cardinale and Galliani regarding Galliani’s return to Milan. The precise role is yet to be determined. Formal steps are still pending.”
It was reported by Monica Colombo in Corriere della Sera this morning that Galliani would take up a role as Director of Football, meaning that Paolo Scaroni would be safe in his position as the president. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is also believed to have played a big part in things.
