Ignazio Abate, despite leaving AC Milan last year, is still keeping a keen eye on the club. Today, at a press conference for his new job, he answered questions regarding the Rossoneri.
Many feel like Abate deserved a chance, in some regard, at Milan above being the Primavera coach. After all, the young Rossoneri progressed to a European final, whilst also producing some fantastic youth talent.
Unfortunately, it didn’t pan out that way. Instead, he became the head coach of Ternana and is now the coach of Juve Stabia who are in Serie B.
Rave reviews
Speaking today at his unveiling press conference, he took a few questions about his former coach Massimiliano Allegri, and MilanPress have relayed his answers.
“Allegri is a master of football , he really gave me so much at Milan, as did other great coaches like Mihajlovic and Leonardo.
“The possible challenge against Milan in the second round of the Coppa Italia? I have to think about the match against Lecce first.”
Hearing such rave reviews from someone who worked extensively with the coach during his complete Diavolo tenure is so promising. However, he has also worked with his former gaffer as a coach, doing so during a UEFA course last May.
Praise from the player and coach, is phenomenal then, and it adds to the support that Allegri does not neccassarily need, but is still receiving.
