AC Milan Women had another positive result on Sunday afternoon as they beat Genoa thanks to a late goal.

The Milan Women clinched a convincing win, their first of the year, as they beat Ternana 3-0 at home last Sunday. Kayleigh van Dooren scored twice, one of which was assisted by Thea Kyvåg who then got her name on the scoresheet.

February began the way that January ended for Suzanne Bakker’s side, with Van Dooren securing three vital points. The Dutch number 10 scored her second consecutive brace in what was a well-deserved win.

The Rossonere get off to a flying start, opening the scoring just nine minutes in and Van Dooren made a run into the box and scored with a header. Genoa were awarded a penalty in the second half, and Giuliani saved Cinotti’s effort from the spot, but she tucked in the rebound.

The winner came in the 88th minute as the substitute Dompig put Van Dooren through on goal, and the Dutch forward beat Forcinella to score yet another winner.
