Alan Shearer is expecting another bad day for Liverpool, with the Match of the Day pundit predicting yet another defeat for the Reds at Leeds.
Arne Slot’s side heads to Elland Road on Saturday, needing to find some form after another disjointed performance in the midweek draw with Sunderland. Plenty of questions still remain over Liverpool’s players, not least Mohamed Salah, after the Egyptian was named on the bench once again.
The winger will hope to work his way back into the side on Saturday, although there are a number of issues for Slot to sort out with his team if they are to turn their faltering season around.
They certainly won’t be given an easy ride by a Leeds side high on confidence after beating Chelsea, and looking for another scalp against the defending champions.
Rather worryingly for Liverpool, Shearer has admitted he is struggling to see any positives for the Reds at the moment, with the former Newcastle and England striker expecting things to get even worse for Slot on Saturday.
Predicting a Leeds win for Betfair, Shearer said: “Again, how can I say Liverpool will win with any confidence? Especially when you consider what the atmosphere will be like. Leeds will go after them. I can't say Liverpool are going to win, I find it difficult to say.

“So, I'm going to say Leeds home win. I don't see anything in Liverpool that gives me any confidence that I can say that they're going to win.
“Nothing in Liverpool's game that I saw in midweek and I've seen in them this season that I could say with hand on heart that they're going to go there and win because I just don't think you can.”
Paul Merson, meanwhile, disagrees with Shearer’s prediction, although the former Arsenal midfielder’s expectations aren’t much higher for the Reds.
Predicting a 1-1 draw at Elland Road, Merson told Sportskeeda: “Leeds United have done well in recent games.
"That was a massive result against Chelsea and even against Manchester City last weekend, I thought they were very unlucky to not walk away with at least a point after that comeback in the second half.
"If Leeds can get Elland Road going like they did in the win over Chelsea, they have a chance in this game."
Merson did offer the Reds some hope as he added: “I wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool won this game 2-0 or even 3-0.
"But it's a free swing for Leeds at Elland Road, and that makes them dangerous. I'm going for a draw, but if I was forced to pick a team, I'd choose Liverpool.”
