Algeria coach states Bennacer is ‘struggling’ at Milan outcast: “I hope he returns”

This summer seemed to be Ismael Bennacer’s last at AC Milan. However, he remains with the club, at least for now. 

There were several interested parties in Bennacer this summer, but there was always an issue, either with him or the team themselves. For example, he rejected a move to Saudi Arabia, but when Juventus and Bologna were sniffing, they were the ones that didn’t fancy a move.

As it stands, there is one offer left on the table; in Turkey, where the window is open until September 12, Trabzonspor are interested in the Algerian midfielder, and there is an offer on the table. However, he was reportedly waiting for something else.

Given nothing arrived, perhaps that will now be considered.

Bennacer ‘struggling’

In the meantime, though, clubs are already looking at the first international break of the season, and Vladimir Petković, the head coach of the Algerian National Team, spoke about the midfielder and his situation, as Francesco Nasato relayed.

“He is struggling physically without any preparation; he trained with Milan Futuro and immediately suffered other physical problems. I hope he returns at his best because he is very important for our national team.”
