Alisson Becker has posted on social media for the first time about his latest injury setback, with the Liverpool goalkeeper revealing he’s set to be out “for a while”.
News of another injury problem for the Brazilian emerged on Friday, less than 24 hours before the Reds were set to face Brighton in the Premier League.
Alisson has been ruled out of that game, as well as Brazil’s games during the international break. Giorgi Mamardashvili will once again deputize against Brighton, and it seems as though he might be required to fill in for some time as the Reds reach the business end of the season.

“Already working hard to be back stronger! Thank you for the support!”
Alisson’s absence will come as a major worry for Liverpool fans, with the Reds in a battle to secure a spot in next season’s Champions League, while also trying to win some silverware in the current competition as well as the FA Cup.

The 33-year-old has suffered from a number of injury problems in recent years, and has already missed nine games across the Premier League and Champions League this season.
His most recent absence came in the first leg of Liverpool’s last-16 tie against Galatasaray, with Alisson having not traveled to Istanbul with the rest of his teammates after picking up a hamstring problem during training.
His latest problem adds to Arne Slot’s worries ahead of a crucial run of games, with the Liverpool boss also without Mohamed Salah for Saturday’s trip to Brighton.
The Egyptian asked to be substituted against Galatasaray in midweek after picking up a knock, although he is hoped to be able to make a swift return following the international break.

Meanwhile, striker Alexander Isak is also expected to make a comeback after the break, having been seen back out on the grass at the AXA Training Centre recently.
Speaking on Friday, Slot said: "Alex will available [for PSG], yes. The question is what you mean around 'being ready.'
“If you want to have the player who played exactly a year ago against us in the Carabao Cup final — and was too good for us on that day — then I would tell you I have my doubts about that after seven or eight months out.
“But I expect that I can use him for minutes. Exactly what I get from that I cannot tell you because he hasn't trained with the team even once.”
