Ahead of the Supercoppa Italiana, AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri spoke to the media about the game, the mercato and more.
Allegri has only been at Milan for around six months, but he could win his first silverware since returning this week. The Italian has not discussed the competition much when asked about aims, but he will demand success where available.
Of course, the Supercoppa has no effect on the club’s participation next year, or even in any competition placement. However, it remains a chance to boost the bank, which the Rossoneri will look to do ahead of the mercato.

This morning, Allegri spoke to the press on the eve of the semi-final against Napoli, as MilanNews relayed.
The draw against Sassuolo confirmed the “curse of small teams.” Tomorrow is a big match. What explanation do you have for this double-header?
“Tomorrow is a different game, it’s a one-off match where the goal is to reach the final. Napoli is a very strong team. It will be a complicated and difficult match. As for the goals conceded, there were moments where we should have performed better. We hope to reconsider that starting Tuesday.”
