Allegri provides injury update on Jashari: “I think it will take another month”

Massimiliano Allegri provided a quick update on Ardon Jashari’s injury recovery during the press conference earlier today, in view of Juventus-Milan tomorrow.

Jashari has been on the sidelines since the end of August, when he suffered a broken fibula in training after a challenge with Santiago Gimenez. At the time, it was a big blow for Milan but five games into the season, it’s clear the other midfielders have stepped up.

Either way, Milan are obviously hoping to have the Swiss international back in action as soon as possible, knowing he could help the team a lot. During his press conference earlier today, previewing the game against Juventus, Allegri provided a quick update.

“I hope that Jashari will return soon. I think it will take another month. He has started running on the sand, but we still need a little patience,” the manager stated.

When Jashari does return, it will be very interesting to see where Allegri will field him. Adrien Rabiot has more or less cemented his spot to the left in the midfield, while Luka Modric is definitely a given in the centre of it.

Perhaps moving Rabiot to the right could be the solution, though Youssouf Fofana has also impressed there lately. In short, Milan already have pretty good depth in midfield and it will get even better when Jashari returns.
